Exotics

Beyond dog and cat medicine, the veterinarians at Animal Hospital of Bonita have acquired extensive knowledge to treat rabbits, reptiles, small mammals and birds. From gastric stasis in rabbits to broken wings in parrots, the hospital looks forward to their exotic patients. Dr. Kitchen is a current board member of the Southwest Florida House Rabbit Rescue.

Digatherm

Acupuncture

Dr. Lawrie performs acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine on dogs, cats, rabbits, snakes, birds and small mammals. According to Johns Hopkins Medical Center, acupuncture points are believed to stimulate the central nervous system. This, in turn, releases chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These biochemical changes may stimulate the body's natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being..
